Dar Al Shifa Hospital was established in 1963 at its original location in Kuwait City, making it the first private hospital in the State of Kuwait. Initially focused on providing private maternity care, the hospital has since grown significantly, expanding its services to cover a broad spectrum of healthcare.
In 1992, under the ownership of Mr. Ali Jeraq, Dar Al Shifa Hospital underwent a notable expansion. Mr. Jeraq had a visionary goal of making healthcare services accessible to every individual in the community. As a result, Dar Al Shifa evolved into a fully-fledged general hospital offering a wide scope of medical services.
The hospital currently boasts a 130-bed accredited facility, comprising various inpatient rooms such as Al Dana, Imperial, Royal, Junior, and Standard. Additionally, it includes labor rooms, neonatal units, Intensive Care Units, Operation Theatres, an Emergency Room, a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Outpatient clinics, and various sub-specialized medical and surgical fields. Dar Al Shifa Hospital is equipped with the latest technologies and offers a range of well-equipped ancillary services.
Moreover, the hospital is currently implementing an expansion plan to increase its capacity to 230 beds.
