KUWAIT: Local Arabic dailies are reporting new developments in flight schedules quoting reliable sources. In response to the cabinet decision to resume direct flights with 5 countries including India and Egypt, the flight operators, Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways submitted revised operating procedures for approval.
The sources informed the dailies, Kuwait Airways submitted request to operate two flights to Cairo International Airport daily and three flights weekly to Burj Al Arab Airport in Alexandria, Egypt. Second carrier, Jazeera Airways requested two flights daily to Cairo International Airport . Jazeera Airways submitted their request to operate one flight daily to India and one flight in a week to Sri Lanka.
Kuwait Airways submitted their request to operate flights to India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, but, no request is submitted for Nepal as of now.
The flight operators are expecting approval from Directorate General of Civil Aviation immediately in order to resume the flights in this week.
